Al-Anon Family Groups, including Alateen, offer understanding and support to families and friends of problem drinkers.

Ask yourself: Because of someone else's drinking . . . .

Am I afraid?
Am I worried or losing sleep?
Do I feel sorry for myself, inadequate or guilty?
Am I ashamed of my situation?
Do I ever feel embarrassed by the drinker's behavior?
Do I make excuses for the drinker or take on his/her responsibilities?
Am I tired, nervous or depressed?
Do I often feel desperate and alone?
